this bark control device is activated automatically when the dog's barking is detected. suitable for one or more dogs and does not require wearing a collar. when barking is detected within a radius of 8 meters, it emits ultrasonic sounds that discourage the dog from barking. the system can be freestanding, or fixed using the fastening strips included with the product. low battery indicator. operates on a 3 volts lithium battery.

system operation : when a barking dog is within the area covered by the petsafe indoor bark control system, an internal microphone picks up the sound. the device then automatically emits ultrasonic sounds audible to dogs but inaudible to most humans. startled by this high-pitched sound, the dog should stop barking. over time, the dog will associate its barking with this unpleasant sound. when the dog stops barking, the ultrasonic emission also stops. the device is effective up to 8 meters.
