The Meindl Island MFS Rock takes the legendary qualities of the Island model, a world reference in trekking, and adds a more technical, stiffer sole for alpine and demanding use. Designed for long hikes, challenging treks and rocky terrain, it combines comfort, protection and stability in a sober and sturdy design, true to Meindl excellence.

Main features :

• Upper: highly resistant oiled nubuck leather, providing protection and durability.
• Lining: GORE-TEX® Performance Comfort, 100 % waterproof and breathable.
• MFS® (Memory Foam System): memory foam around the ankle and heel for a perfect, personalized fit.
• DiGAfix® system: optimal heel hold without pressure points, for precise and stable lacing.
• Insole: Air-Active® Soft Print Drysole, breathable and cushioning.
• Outsole: Vibram® Multigriff® Rock, with reinforced alpine tread for maximum grip on rocks and steep slopes.
• Construction: stitched welt for superior robustness and the possibility of re-soling.
• Weight: approx. 900 g per shoe (size 8 UK).
• Crampon compatibility: semi-automatic (strap-on crampons).
• Recommended use: Alpine trekking and high mountain. Rocky, mixed or steep terrain. Carrying heavy packs and long expeditions.
