product details receiver - portable unit for dog gps x20 the dog gps x20 is a device that allows you to locate your dogs up to 20 km away. it consists of a transmitter attached to the dog's collar and a receiver (handheld unit) that allows the owner to track the dog's distance and direction. the transmitter obtains its position from gps satellites and uses a radio frequency (rf) signal to transmit the location information to the owner's receiver.
the rf signal strength, gps position accuracy, and the battery status of the transmitter and receiver can also be monitored on the receiver's screen.
dog gps x20 also has additional functions: compass, acoustic fence, which notifies you if your dog exceeds the distance set from the receiver. it also features a beeper function that lets you easily know if your dog is moving or stationary.
