The APC 42 will redefine your nature observation experience. Just as light and bright as traditional 42 mm roof-prism binoculars, but stabilized. And not the kind of stabilized binoculars you may have known before, but a revolutionary stabilization system far more effective and comfortable than previous generations. In fact, you will be able to observe in the strongest winds, observe for as long as you wish and see details as if you were watching a movie. Watch while you're still out of breath after that long walk and enjoy the highest magnifications without the slightest image vibration. Thus you will be able to observe details that were previously invisible even with the best traditional binoculars.
Stabilized binoculars are equipped with the KITE APC system (angular power control). Without needing to operate the on/off switch, this system puts the electronics into standby when the binoculars are in any resting position (hanging around the neck), and reactivates automatically when you resume observing. This results in remarkable battery savings and contributes to user comfort.
The APC 42 binoculars have 2 battery compartments. Each housing contains 2 standard AA batteries. One compartment contains 2 functional AA batteries that will operate for 60 hours. The other contains 2 spare AA batteries. After the first 60 hours of use, simply change the batteries and continue for another 60 hours.
The stabilization capability of the APC 42 goes beyond suppressing vibrations caused by wind or hand tremors. Its stabilization capacity is 2x to 3x greater than that of other consumer stabilized binoculars on the market. The APC stabilized binoculars have a military-grade stabilization system that allows a stable view when used in moving vehicles, boats, aircraft, helicopters and other unstable platforms.
The APC 42 is fully waterproof. The optical system and electronics are sealed to obtain an IPX 7 waterproof rating. It can withstand any kind of rain and can even be submerged to a depth of 1 meter for a maximum of 30 minutes. The system is filled with gaseous nitrogen to prevent internal fogging.
