The salt lick SEL PUR is a compact salt block formulated to meet the vital needs of large game on your hunting ground. Composed of pure sodium chloride (NaCl), it provides an essential mineral supplement, often deficient in the natural diet of wild animals.
This block is round, compact and is drilled with a central hole to facilitate its mounting.

Salt intake is crucial for the health and management of your game population:

- Game Retention: The appealing taste of salt naturally attracts large game (deer, roe deer, wild boar, mouflon) and helps keep them on your territory. It is an excellent wildlife management tool to keep animals within reach.
- Damage Reduction: By providing an easily accessible source of salt, you reduce the tendency of game to seek sodium by stripping bark from trees (bark stripping of conifers) or by damaging crops to satisfy their mineral needs.

Usage Advice on Hunting Grounds
- Location: Place the block in trails or resting areas frequented by game, near a wallow or a baiting/feeding point.
- Mounting for cervids: Attach the block to a cut stake or a tree fork (at about 1,20 m to 1,50 m in height) so that the salt slowly runs down the wood, creating a very attractive natural salt lick.
- Mounting for wild boar: The block can be placed directly on the ground, or fixed to a large stump cut flush with the ground.
- Frequency: Leave the block available on a self-service basis, continuously throughout the year. Animals will adapt their consumption to their needs. It is generally recommended to provide one block per 10 to 20 hectares of territory.
