The Peltor LiteCom PMR 446 headset integrates a high-performance two-way radio directly into the ear cups, allowing clear exchanges without the clutter of cables or external handheld radios. This specific model is designed for a helmet mount on safety helmets, offering an integrated solution for demanding work or hunting environments where wearing a protective helmet is mandatory. Thanks to its 8 channels on the licence-free PMR 446 MHz frequency and its 38 sub-channels, it allows several groups to communicate separately within the same area without interference.

The technology of this device relies on a VOX (voice-activated) transmission system, completely freeing the user's hands to handle their equipment or hold their dogs. A dynamic noise-cancelling microphone effectively filters ambient sounds, such as barking or engine noise, so that only speech is transmitted with crystal-clear clarity. Alongside its communication function, it provides robust passive protection with an SNR value of 33 dB, protecting the user from blasts and constant mechanical noise.
