FAQ
What does “submersible” mean?
This bag is airtight: neither air nor water can enter or escape when it is properly closed. Extensive testing, HF welding, and our HydroLok™ zipper have been combined to ensure reliability in all conditions.
How can I make sure it is properly closed?
Close the zipper completely and apply pressure. Listen for air passing through the seal. If you hear or notice an air leak, make sure the zipper is completely closed, then test again.
Are these bags rugged?
The ThickSkin™ shell material, molded EVA bottom, MetalLock™ metal hardware, reinforced QuickGrab™ attachment points, and HydroLok™ zipper have all been extensively tested and their durability has been proven.
Can this waterproof bag be used as a cooler?
The Panga® duffel bag is not a cooler; it is a bag that will keep your gear dry and protected during all your expeditions. If you need a large insulated bag, check out our Hopper® M30 soft cooler.
What should I store in my submersible duffel bag?
Anything you want to keep dry and protected from the elements. We use it for waders, spare clothing, lures, ammunition, jackets, flies, and any other gear we want to store when heading offshore.
How can I clean my submersible duffel bag?
Apply a mixture of dish soap and water. Rinse with fresh water, dry the inside thoroughly, and apply zipper lubricant. Once dry, store your Panga® bag in the fully closed position.
Can I use it as carry-on luggage?
The Panga® 50 L submersible duffel bag is accepted as carry-on luggage by most airlines. If you check your bag, please note that none of our duffel bags are equipped with a locking mechanism.
What is the empty weight of the duffel bag?
The empty weight of the Panga® duffel bag is 2.3 kg for the 50 L model, 2.7 kg for the 75 L model, and 3 kg for the 100 L model.
