the kite optics carbon tripod ardea cf is specially designed for birdwatchers. a standard-height tripod with 3 sections, offering the ability to support heavy instruments while remaining very portable and extremely light.
the dimensions of the ardea cf are the result of field experience. large-diameter carbon fiber legs offer the best stiffness and the most solid support. very durable twist locks provide excellent grip and, as an advantage compared to conventional ‘flip-lock’ locks, twist locks are faster to use and do not get stuck behind branches or bushes in the field. they also allow the user to easily disassemble the legs for cleaning and maintenance. the tripod weighs only 1,45 kilogram. and with ball head included, it carries your instrument to a maximum height of 176 cm. more than enough even for people measuring 2 meters.
a wide range of ball heads and other accessories can easily be added via the 1/4 "and 3/8" mounts on the top plate.
