The KITE OPTICS ARDEA CF carbon tripod is specially designed for birdwatchers. A standard-height tripod with 3 sections, offering the ability to support heavy instruments while remaining very portable and extremely lightweight.
The dimensions of the ARDEA CF are the result of field experience. Large-diameter carbon fiber legs provide the best stiffness and the strongest support. Very durable twist locks provide excellent grip and, as an advantage over conventional ‘flip-lock’ locks, twist locks are faster to use and do not get caught behind branches or bushes in the field. They also allow the user to easily remove the legs for cleaning and maintenance. The tripod weighs only 1.45 kilograms. And with the head included, it carries your instrument to a maximum height of 176 cm. More than sufficient even for people measuring 2 meters.
A wide range of heads and other accessories can easily be added via the 1/4" and 3/8" mounts on the top plate.
