ALVIS Mk4 is the most versatile noise-reducing earplug in the range. It protects the hearing of many employees in industry, construction, logistics, local authorities, teachers, nurseries, IMEs, music schools ... It is also used by many motorcyclists, musicians, DIYers, hunters...
ALVIS Mk4: Noise-reducing earplugs with enhanced attenuation ALVIS Mk4 is the most versatile product in the Mk semi-custom range.
Its attenuation level is twice that of the Mk3 over the frequency range that is dangerous for hearing.
It covers 80% of situations in which a progressive earplug is essential: motorcycling, hunting, industry, concerts and musicians, airline pilots ...
The difference compared with an ordinary earplug comes from the progressive nature of the attenuation: • low protection in quiet environments (4dB at 80dB of noise), • moderate attenuation in medium noises (24dB at 100dB), • strong attenuation in loud noises (39dB at 120 dB), • All sounds remain clear and precise, but they are compressed to a comfortable and harmless level, • Mk4 advantage: increased attenuation in the high frequencies, the multi-use product par excellence.
Alvis Mk 4 a progressive but reinforced sound attenuation: • Increased attenuation in the high frequencies: +3dB attenuation compared with the Mk3 (i.e. a little more than double) on the • frequencies that are dangerous for hearing. • While retaining very good auditory precision in the open position, the Mk 4 allows absorption of higher sound levels. • A versatile filtration that preserves good understanding of useful sounds and protects your hearing even in very noisy situations such as shooting sports. • 2 attenuation levels (strong or very strong) thanks to the closing flap.
A filter with two protection levels to modulate noise Two-level filtration allows you to change the type of noise attenuation depending on whether you want to keep optimal listening precision while capping dangerous noises, or whether you want to reduce all sounds to be in silence.
Flap open, the filter acts continuously according to the acoustic energy it receives. You can thus stay in contact with the external environment, take part in a conversation, make phone calls... constant noises that are too loud will be brought down to a comfortable volume, and impact noises will be instantly reduced.
Flap closed, the filtration is identical across all frequencies and continuous, the Mk 4 becomes the equivalent of an occlusive Mk 2. The occlusive mode is recommended for sleep, swimming, and work with a high and constant sound level.
ALVIS Mk4 is a very high-performance and economical noise-reducing earplug: It equips many employees in industrial companies, or local authority staff.
ALVIS Mk 4 semi-custom noise-reducing earplugs Semi-custom earplugs equipped with a helix and available in 3 sizes
With a helix: With a small-ear shape, it sits in the concha (the hollow part of the pinna) and ensures perfect retention in the ear in all circumstances. The helix is made of very soft silicone and is hardly felt; it holds the plugs in place without exerting pressure in the ear canal so they can be worn all day without discomfort.
The helix fits into the concha of the ear and the Mk 4 can be worn under a helmet without any discomfort; many motorcyclists ride every day with ALVIS Mk. The helix is made of transparent silicone and is barely visible.
3 sizes for all ears: To ensure comfort, retention and acoustic isolation adapted to each person's ears. The entire plug is proportional and adapts to the size of the concha (hollow part of the pinna) and the ear canal. Measure your size using the diagram below, and if you make a mistake we accept exchanges of size within 7 days.
• How to choose the size? Measure the size of your concha as shown in the diagram on the right; it is the hollow part of the pinna where the helix of the plugs will latch. If you are exactly between 2 sizes, favor the Medium,
• How to put them in correctly? The plug with the red filter is for the right ear, the white earpiece for the left ear. Insert the corolla-shaped plug into the ear canal by pressing on the part over the filter without hesitation. You can perform quarter-turn rotations while pressing on the plug so that it is properly in place Place the helix in the concha of the ear so that the plug can no longer move; it must closely follow the shape of your ear's concha. This part of the plug has no effect on auditory attenuation but ensures its perfect retention in the ear.
• Use of the closing flap, the 2-in-1 function: Open position. You benefit from progressive attenuation of noises to hear well in quiet while being protected in noise. Closed position. The attenuation is permanent, like an occlusive plug. This position is useful for intense and prolonged sound exposures, to cut background or light noises (airplane, sleep…) or for swimming.
