Features : • Protective objective filter suitable for the TSN 55 Prominar range • Equipped with anti-reflection and anti-moisture treatment • Ideal in specific dusty, humid or coastal conditions
The Kowa TP-58FT filter protects the pure fluorite crystal objective lenses of Kowa spotting scopes, telephoto lenses and High Lander binoculars of the TSN-880 series by Kowa.
Featuring water-repellent and oil-repellent coatings, it is the ideal accessory for all owners of these high-end optics.
Harsh environments such as sand and salt on the coast, an accidental tripod fall or contact with a sharp object can damage the most sensitive and valuable part of a spotting scope: the objective. These phenomena often cause irreparable damage to the coatings and to the objective itself.
Damage to the front objective lens can significantly reduce the optical performance of your scope and is one of the most expensive repairs to carry out, especially if you own a Kowa model with pure fluorite crystal. Often, the only option is to completely replace the front objective lens, which is very costly.
This type of damage is not covered by the manufacturer's warranty, which means a long and expensive repair.
Kowa recommends using a protective filter to protect a Kowa spotting scope. All Kowa spotting scopes are equipped with a filter ring (a feature that is often not included on other manufacturers' models) allowing a filter to be attached. This accessory greatly reduces the risk of objective damage, avoids costly repairs and, ultimately, extends the life and enjoyment of your spotting scope.
