The ZEPHYR MK2 GTX HI intervention shoe represents the perfect balance between agility, lightness and stability. Its high upper provides the necessary support for parachute jumps and rope descents. It is covered with a blend of water-repellent, tear-resistant suede and abrasion-resistant, breathable CORDURA® textile material. A locking lace hook allows the lacing to be perfectly adjusted at the forefoot and ankle. With its waterproof and breathable GORE-TEX Extended Comfort Footwear membrane, this model is ideal for operations in temperate or wet areas. Its double-layer PU midsole is reinforced by a MONOWRAP® structure, and supports the foot like a kind of exoskeleton.

To ensure good cushioning and a high level of comfort, the sole of the ZEPHYR MK2 GTX HI shoe is attached to the upper by a sophisticated injection molding process. For this, the upper part of the shoe is placed in a mold specially designed for this purpose: several layers of polyurethane foam are then injected into this mold so that the sole becomes one with the upper.
• Lightness
for this process, LOWA uses polyurethane, a synthetic material which here appears in the form of a very light foam.
• Cushioning
the polyurethane foam has very good shock-absorbing properties. Even when its thousands of small bubbles are compressed against each other, they retain their shape and return to their original position after expansion, thus giving the shoe an excellent rebound effect.
• Multiple configurations

The midsole of the ZEPHYR MK2 GTX HI model holds the foot in place thanks to its LOWA MONOWRAP® structure, for optimal comfort. This three-dimensional midsole design was developed by LOWA in 1995: the structure surrounds the foot and supports it on uneven terrain. For shoes equipped with a STABILITY FRAME, the entire sole is slightly raised.
