WoundClot™ Veterinary is a next-generation hemostatic gauze intended for the control of bleeding from traumatic wounds, including moderate to severe bleeding. Applies quickly and easily to the wound. For use by trained emergency responders.

When WoundClot™ Trauma gauze is applied to the bleeding site, it rapidly transforms from a flexible, dry gauze into a thick, tenacious, expansive 3D gel matrix. This stable, solid and pliable gel structure provides rapid and stable hemostasis using multiple mechanisms of action:

WoundClot™ Trauma absorbs up to 2 500 % of its weight in blood and remains actively absorbent for up to 24 hours. WoundClot™'s 3D gel matrix allows concentration of platelets, red blood cells and coagulation factors, thereby creating an environment conducive to clotting.
WoundClot™'s soft 3D gel matrix adheres to the tissues surrounding the wound and will not be dislodged by patient movement, wound manipulation or high-pressure bleeding.
"The advanced functional molecular groups of WoundClot™ stimulate the coagulation process by converting the Plasma Thromboplastin Antecedent or PTA (XI) and Hageman (XII) coagulation factors from inactive to active forms (XIa and XIIa)."
