EUROHUNT trophy cleaner is an effective aid for cleaning trophies. The substances contained in the product promote the decomposition and separation of tissue and bone, which considerably reduces boiling time. It removes grease and has a whitening effect, resulting in a particularly white aesthetic appearance. For complete whitening of the trophy, it may be necessary to use the EUROHUNT trophy bleaching solution.
Directions for use
- The trophy must be fleshed. Large masses of flesh, the brain and the material from the cranial cavity must be removed. - Place the skull in cold brine and soak it for 24 hours. Be careful not to immerse the antlers or horns; it is best to remove the horns before soaking. - Prepare a sufficient amount by mixing 10 to 35 g per liter of water. To measure, use the supplied dosing cap (10 ml = 10 g). The dosage depends on the age and animal species. For young animals, and in particular roe deer, use 10-20 g/l For older animals, 20-35 g/l. - Heat the solution until the cleaner is completely dissolved. Then place the skull in the solution and continue heating to about 80 °C. It is recommended not to boil to avoid damaging the skull. - Constantly monitor the boiling to avoid overcooking. If tissues begin to detach from the skull, remove it and clean it with dissection tools and brushes. If it is difficult to remove all tissues, reimmerse the skull in the solution and continue to boil it. Examine it frequently and clean the remaining tissues. - Rinse the skull thoroughly and allow it to dry. - If necessary, whiten the skull with EUROHUNT trophy bleach. - Once dry, treat the skull with EUROHUNT trophy care or EUROHUNT trophy lacquer. The solution can be poured into drains. Wear personal protective equipment! (safety goggles and protective gloves).
