SOMLYS HUNTING BELLS FOR DOGS
Sound localisation of helpers in the heart of dense cover, thick woods or during the hunting of the woodcock and large game is essential for the safety and effectiveness of the drive. These premium bells offer a powerful and clear acoustic solution, allowing you to follow your companion's search at a constant distance. Their specific resonance has been engineered to cut through the whistle of the wind and the crash of vegetation without assaulting the animal's fine hearing.

The robustness of these accessories relies on careful metal construction, capable of withstanding repeated impacts against stones and low branches. Offered in two distinct finishes, they adapt to the requirements of each biotope. The high-visibility orange version provides an immediate visual contrast in the undergrowth, while the traditional brass-like metallic version preserves an authentic, clean style. The wide, solid top loop integrated on the top ensures a reliable attachment to any leather or polyurethane hunting collar.

To precisely match the morphology of each dog and the type of search required, this range is available in three distinct diameters. A large-section bell will produce a lower, carrying tone, ideal for large tracking or leading dogs, whereas the small diameters are perfectly suited to terriers or light pointing dogs working at shorter range.

Our experts' tip : Match the bell diameter to your dog's search and to the density of the covered environment. For hunting snipe or woodcock in very tight undergrowth, using a 33 mm orange bell not only lets you immediately hear the dog's stop or resumption of search at long distance, but also adds an essential visual marker when the dog freezes in the ferns. At the end of the season, remember to clean the inside of the slot with a small point to remove dirt or leaf debris that could muffle the sound.
