That is why the only way to guarantee 100% effective protection is to wear hearing protection permanently. The problem is that passive hearing protectors attenuate all sounds, both dangerous and harmless. We are therefore forced to remove them to communicate, or to listen to our environment.
With the Protac III Slim, 3M Peltor offers a brand-new sound-modulating headset consistent with the brand's high-quality standards, making this technology accessible to a wide audience.
It offers exceptional user comfort with attenuation of loud noises of 26db (SNR) and amplification of quiet sounds up to +8db, allowing the user to speak face to face without removing their protection. Dangerous impulsive noises, such as gunshots, are attenuated instantly.
Designed to be used in conditions as demanding as those encountered during prolonged use on a shooting range, the Peltor Protac III Slim is, among other things, fitted with double-compartment ear cups protecting the electronics from oxidation caused by humidity and perspiration. The simplified adjustment buttons can be used even when gloved. The listening volume is adjustable across 5 levels; when the headset is switched on the last setting remains memorized.
A standard 3.5 mm jack allows you to connect your headset to a radio, a phone, a smartphone, a walkie-talkie, for listening only.
The Protac III Slim hearing protector from 3M Peltor has a battery life of 100 hours thanks to two AA LR6 batteries. An automatic shut-off after 4h of non-use is set to preserve the batteries. An audible signal warns in case of low battery.
The Peltor ProTac III Slim headset features thin ear cups and reduced weight to ensure comfort even during long sessions.
